WordPress Update 4.0

WordPress update 4.0 is released and it’s named “Benny” in honor of jazz clarinetist and bandleader Benny Goodman. It is available for download or update in your WordPress dashboard. While 4.0 is just another number for after 3.9 and before 4.1, it added a little extra polish to it. This release brings a smoother writing and management experience.

I’ve tested it today and really enjoying it. However, if you have SEO plugins, you may need to check and update it as well in order to be compatible with the new changes in WordPress update 4.0.

The new video feature is my favorite. The previews versions, we had to copy the embedded code, paste it in html format, save page as a draft then be able to preview it. Now, it’s all in one page and you’ll be able to preview it right there. I like it that there are no surprises when you publish a page with a video in it.

My second favorite feature is Twitter. Embedding has become a visual experience. The editor shows a true preview of embedded content. This saves so much time.

Not all themes are compatible with WordPress update 4.0. Some of your features and layout may look funky. If you need help updating your WordPress and your SEO Plugins, contact us at [email protected].
